Hastings Racecourse & Casino Special Promo Code Offers

How Promo Codes Actually Work Here

Hastings Racecourse & Casino operates inside the BCLC network, so special promo codes are created and controlled by British Columbia Lottery Corporation, not by our property team. That detail trips people up. There is no promo field hidden on some checkout page. Every part of the process happens live, at Guest Services, in the building at 188 North Renfrew St, Vancouver.

Without Encore Rewards there is no redemption. That is the short version. Encore Rewards is the BCLC loyalty program that sits behind every promo code at Hastings, and if you do not have an active membership, the code simply will not run through the system. Registration is free, you just need a valid government-issued ID, and you can complete it at Guest Services on-site or through the BCLC portal before you visit.

Once two pieces line up - a valid promo code and your Encore Rewards ID - our Guest Services team can attach the correct number of points to your account. Those points convert into Free Play that you can use on slots, eTables, and electronic table games on the main floor. The math is simple enough: 1,000 points equals $5 in Free Play. So a promo worth 2,000 points lands as $10 of Free Play. BCLC campaigns usually let you redeem within a window that can run up to 365 days from the claim date, but the exact timing sits in the individual campaign rules.

Both codes in the table are real examples from older promotional periods. Current working codes change from campaign to campaign and are pushed out through BCLC channels: digital ad placements, print coupons, and partner communications.

Redeeming a Code: The Actual Sequence

It helps to know this in advance: skip one part of the flow and the code simply will not attach. Guest Services staff follow a fixed process in their system and there is no manual override.

1. First, pick up the current promo code from a BCLC digital ad, printed voucher, or a partner message.
2. Then check the expiry date carefully - when a BCLC promo ends with that stated period, it is not available even a single day after.
3. If you are not enrolled yet, set up an Encore Rewards membership before you arrive or as soon as you walk in.
4. Plan your visit during casino hours: Sunday-Thursday 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM PT, Friday-Saturday 11:00 AM - 2:00 AM PT.
5. Head over to Guest Services and show both the promo code and your Encore Rewards membership ID.
6. Our team will add the promotional points into your Encore account.
7. After that, move to a participating slot machine, eTable, or electronic table game.
8. Log into your Encore Rewards account on the gaming terminal, then select the Free Play option to pull in the credited amount.

There is one code redemption per player per promotional period. If the same membership ID is used to try to process the same string twice, the system rejects it at the desk, and staff cannot make an exception.

A small practical reminder that applies here and at other BCLC sites: if you are planning the visit mainly because of a particular promo, confirm that the code is still valid before you get on the road. Campaigns can close quietly and the active window sometimes ends mid-week, without much noise.

Current Promotions Running at Hastings

Alongside single-use promo codes, Hastings connects into recurring campaigns that Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and BCLC run across several properties. Parts of those do not use traditional code strings at all. Instead they run on ballot drops, draw tickets, or hitting point thresholds, which is a completely different mechanic from typing or presenting a code.

Exact dates, time frames, and prize splits rotate with each campaign cycle. Before you visit, checking the current lineup at Guest Services or via greatcanadian.com usually gives the most accurate snapshot of what is actually in market at Hastings on a given week.

The AmWager Bet & Get - A Separate Channel

There is also another lane of Hastings-focused offers that sits completely outside the casino floor. AmWager ran a “Hastings Bet & Get” promotion in May 2025 with a focus on online horse race betting. The setup was straightforward: place CAD $100 or more in wagers on a qualifying Hastings Racecourse race card on a designated Sunday, and receive a $10 bonus credited to your AmWager balance within 72 hours.

That activity never touches Encore Rewards or the BCLC in-venue environment. AmWager works under its own regulatory approvals as an Advance Deposit Wagering platform. Players who bet through ADW do not deal with Guest Services, do not need an Encore Rewards card at all, and the bonus lands in the AmWager wallet, not on a gaming terminal at the casino.

Qualifying rules for the AmWager version looked like this:

1. An active AmWager account that is in good standing.
2. At least $100 wagered on the named Hastings race card on the specific promotional date.
3. Bonus payout processed within 72 hours after the event closes.
4. Maximum of $10 bonus per promotional day, and $30 total possible across the full run.

These two paths - land-based casino promo codes and online racebook bonuses - operate independently. Taking part in an AmWager offer has no impact on any BCLC promo code eligibility, and redeeming an Encore code does not affect AmWager limits.

Encore Rewards: Why It Is Central to Everything

Every single Hastings promo code runs on Encore Rewards rails. That is not just a slogan, it is how the tech is wired. Points from a special promo code simply stack on top of the points you earn from normal play. They sit together in the same balance, they do not cancel or overwrite what you have already built up.

Your physical membership card or digital ID is what you use at the slot, eTable, or electronic table game to track play, collect points, and pull in Free Play. After registration, that same Encore ID works across the full BCLC casino network: River Rock Casino Resort, Grand Villa Casino, Parq Vancouver, Starlight Casino, plus other participating BC properties. Most Hastings-issued BCLC promo codes can be redeemed at those casinos as well, not only at Hastings.

Membership itself is free. You sign up at Guest Services with a government-issued ID and once the profile is created, you are set to go.
